Capsular contracture after Breast Augmentation surgery

Capsular contracture after Breast Augmentation surgery

(18925 преглеждания) The scar tissue formation (capsule) around any kind of implant after a surgical procedure is a normal part of the healing process. This is a natural response and an automatic reaction of the body to a foreign object which is detected. The body isolates this object by creating a scar tissue around it. After a Breast Augmentation surgery, this capsule helps to keep the breast implants in place, which is considered necessary and a good thing. In some cases, however, the scar tissue capsule can start contracting around the implant, become hard and rarely can cause pain in the breasts. It is crucial to understand that this condition is not caused by breast implants - this capsular contracture can happen after any kind of medical implant device is inserted into the body so the condition is not reserved for breast augmentation surgery. The grades of Capsular contracture are four-the breast is soft and looks normal; the breast is a little firm but looks normal; the breast is firm and looks abnormal and the breast is hard, painful and looks abnormal. The reasons for capsular contracture may vary-if there is a bacterial infection; too much produced fibrous tissue around the implant; a hematoma (a solid quantity of blood gathered outside of blood vessels) or seroma (a presence of fluids in the place of a tissue removal or surgical incision) or an unknown genetic reason.Capsular contracture is not dangerous for the patient's health, the treatment is a surgical removal (release) of the capsule, or the removal and replacement of the breast implant.
