The cheek implants are shaped according to the face preference and are positioned behind the jaw muscles, where the cheekbones are located; then fastened using small screws so they can remain firmly in place and the tissue has a chance to grow around them.The incisions are closed with dissolvable stitches and after the procedure a mouthwash is recommended 3 to 4 times a day to keep the area from bacteria.After the procedure a slight swelling and pain is expected, sometimes numbness and stiffness.
